Meet the Board of Directors

Becca Reynolds

President

  • I am dedicated to serving because I recognize the incredible efforts Bay Area Christian is making to advance the kingdom and nurture discipleship, and I am eager to contribute to that mission. I see so many individuals with a passion for both the Lord and our school, and I believe that by coming together, we can propel the school to new heights, allowing even more students to benefit from our programs. Our teachers are exceptional and genuinely care for our students; with additional support, there are no limits to what they can achieve.

Veronica Mann

Vice President

  • I joined this team because we saw a need at Bay Area we wanted to help fill… for our teachers, our students, and our school community. It has been such an honor to serve along side this group who has looked and functioned like the body of Christ to help achieve the goal of supporting our school better than we could alone.

Vanessa Cordell

Director of Operations

  • I am truly honored to serve on the board of the Bay Area Education Foundation. Supporting our Christian school means investing not only in academic excellence, but in the spiritual growth of the next generation. I am grateful to be part of a mission that equips students to thrive in their studies while, more importantly, grounding their lives in faith, character, and a Christ-centered purpose.  “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

Trevor Shakiba

Treasurer

  • To empower our students, honor our exceptional teachers, and advance the mission of education and faith for the glory of the Kingdom!

It's always a great day to be a Bronco!

Jessica Pitts

Director of Marketing

  • When I was saved by Jesus and my life changed, I knew that when I had children, I wanted them to grow up surrounded by His love and truth. School plays such a huge role in a child’s life, and it was so important to me that they attend a place where teachers and administrators share that same heart and vision. That’s what led our family to BACS.

When Becca shared the mission of BAEF, my answer was an instant yes. I’ve always had a passion for supporting the amazing teachers who pour so much into my boys, and what a beautiful way to do just that. I’m so excited and honored to be part of this mission, and I cannot wait to see what God does for our school through BAEF.

    2 Corinthians 9:7

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Kristen Dee

Community Liaison

  • Why I chose to be part of the Bay Area Education Foundation

God calls us to serve, to give, and to pour into the next generation.

For me, joining BAEF is about living out that calling, investing in the lives of students and teachers so they can flourish with the opportunities and resources they need.

I believe education is not just about academics, but about equipping hearts and minds to step into the future God has planned for them.

Being part of this foundation allows me to give back to a community where I to was once a student. I am honored to be part of such an amazing foundation that honors Him and impacts our community for years to come.

Liz George

Teacher Liaison

  • BACS was my very first teaching job right out of college, and it holds a special place in my heart. Our sons attended BACS from Kindergarten through 12th grade, and my husband and I often say it’s the gift that keeps on giving.

I vividly remember teaching before I had children of my own and receiving notes from parents saying they were praying for me. At the time, I didn’t fully grasp the depth of that gesture—but once I became a parent, I understood just how much that meant. Teachers often spend more time with students during the week than their parents do, and it’s truly a privilege to be part of shaping young lives through Kingdom Education.

As both a parent and an educator, I’m deeply thankful for the way BACS poured into my own children. I now have the joy of giving back in a small way by serving with the Bay Area Education Foundation. What a privilege it is to invest in the future generation at a school that’s been faithfully serving families for over 50 years. 4800 West Main Street is a special place!

Jessica Holzbach

Secretary

  • Our family has been a part of Bay Area Christian School for the past ten years. During that time we have experienced firsthand the impact of a strong, Christ-centered, kingdom education. BACS has played a meaningful role in shaping not only our children, but our family as a whole.

I serve on the Bay Area Education Foundation board because I desire to support the teachers and staff who faithfully pour into our students each day. It is a privilege to come alongside this community, steward resources well, and help ensure our educators are encouraged and equipped as they invest in the next generation.
